Common Questions

Do participants need to create an account?

No. Participants simply download the Synqle app and enter the unique join code you share with them. No email signup or account creation required on their end. Just download and join.

How does activity tracking work?

Synqle reads activity data from Apple Health on iOS and Health Connect on Android. Participants open the app and tap sync to update their steps and distance on the leaderboard. Any fitness tracker or app that writes to Apple Health or Health Connect will work, including Fitbit, Garmin, Samsung Health, Strava, and more.

Is the team chat required?

No. Team chat is an optional add-on. If your team already communicates on Slack or Microsoft Teams, you may not need it. It is available starting at $49 for challenges where you want an in-app community space.

What happens if we go slightly over our participant tier?

We include a 10% buffer in every tier. If you paid for up to 100 participants, we will not block the 101st or 102nd person from joining. We only ask that you upgrade if you consistently exceed your tier limit.

Can we run challenges longer than 30 days?

Yes. The base price covers up to 30 days. If your challenge runs longer, duration extension pricing is added when you create the challenge. You will see the full cost breakdown before you pay anything.

What does "free for up to 10 participants" mean exactly?

You can run a full challenge with live leaderboards, mobile apps, and step tracking completely free for up to 10 people and up to 14 days. No credit card required. It is the best way to try Synqle with a small group before running a company-wide challenge.
