Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Synqle ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you use our web dashboard and mobile applications (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum amount of information necessary to provide you with our Service:
- Account Information: When you register for an admin account, we collect your first name, last name, and email address. For mobile participants, we collect your designated display name and use your unique device identifier (Device ID) to manage your account and progress.
- Challenge Data: We store the challenge details created by admins, such as challenge names, start/end dates, and locations.
- Participant Activity Data: For challenge participants, we collect activity data, specifically steps and walking/running distance. This data is synced from Apple Health (HealthKit) on iOS and Health Connect on Android only with your explicit, revocable consent. We do not collect heart rate, sleep, GPS routes, or any other sensitive health metrics.
- User Content (Chat & Media): If you choose to use the team chat feature, we collect and store the text messages, photos, and videos you upload to share with other participants in your specific challenge.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our Service.
- Operate corporate challenges, including automatically calculating daily totals and updating real-time leaderboards.
- Facilitate team communication through the in-app chat feature.
- Communicate with you about your account, technical notices, or service updates.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal data with any third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Your information is disclosed only in the following limited circumstances:
- Within Your Challenge: Your display name, step/distance totals, and any chat messages or media you post are visible to other participants in your specific challenge and the challenge administrator.
- Service Providers: We use trusted third-party service providers (such as Google Firebase) to host our database and store user content. These providers access your data only to perform tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, such as running the challenge and maintaining historical records for the admin. You may request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us or your challenge administrator.
